Deano Stays at Spytty Park

NEWPORT County manager Dean Holdsworth hopes the speculation about his future will end after he signed a new contract to stay at Spytty Park.

The Exiles boss has been linked with vacancies at League Two Barnet and Hereford in recent weeks but has now agreed a new two-year deal which will keep him at the club until 2012.

Holdsworth admits he has had the opportunity to speak to Football League clubs since the end of the season but he has turned his back on potential suitors to pledge his loyalty to County.
